Last week we managed to get them all to hold still and be happy for this picture.

Moving is hard. After 3 new cities in the last 5 years, I've learned a little more about what it means to "bloom where you're planted." When we moved here a little over a year ago, we pretty quickly had a good group of friends. We all ended up going to the same church up in Wisconsin, all the guys are in PhD programs, and we all were having babies. We started out having lunch at each other's houses after church on Sundays, but we no longer carry out that tradition due to the booming numbers of children we've had in the last year. So, every week, the four of us ladies get together for "playgroup" (as you can see, Hope is the eldest, so its really more of a playgroup for the Mamas). I'm thankful for the friendship of these girls and shared life experiences we're going through together right now. I am spurred on by each of them to be a more Godly wife, mom, and friend. A couple of weeks ago, we had our first Mom's night out after the kiddies were in bed. It was fun and I think we were all a little giddy to be out after dark (I'm only mildly kidding). We forgot to get a picture. Being away from family, and in a new place, it is comforting to know that there are friends to call when you need a hand, or just to chat, or to take a walk, run to the store, ect. Thanks for your friendship, Bethany, Charisse and Jenni!
